The seminar training was organized in cooperation with the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center and the US Institute of Peace.
Director of Afganistan and Central Asia programs at the US Institute of Peace Scott Worden, and a senior fellow at the US Peace Institute, Mr. Pajvak, and a staff member of the US Embassy in Uzbekistan visited the Imam Bukhari Complex.
The first the delegation members got acquainted with the new building of the International Research Center of Imam Bukhari, then they are got acquainted with the mausoleum and museum of Imam Bukhari Complex.
After that, a seminar training was organized in the conference hall of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center with the participation of the members of the official delegations and the IBISRC scholars.
Director of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center Sh.Ziyodov opened the meeting.
Then made a speach Director of Afganistan and Central Asia programs at the US Institute of Peace, Scott Worden. He noted that the US Institute of Peace has been operating since 1984 and has done a lot of scientific and practical work in the field of peace, in particular, in Central Asia and Afghanistan, and highlighted the role of Uzbekistan in this regard.
He also said that he plans to organize a conference on the theme of religious tolerance in Uzbekistan in the future and he hope that the scientists of Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center will cooperate with him.
The guests also got acquainted with the IBISRC manuscripts fund.
